Not Real Exciting

We had the day off today and Cass and I went to the movies and saw ADVENTURES OF TIN TIN.  Dylan had no desire to see the movie so he stayed home.

I made a good chicken fajita marinade tonight.

Well, one good thing it that we only have four days this week of school and work!

An American Hero...

Today we had the privilege to listen to George Washington speak.   I had no idea that George would bring me to tears but he did.

Dylan made a stand with a push button on it that said "press button".  He would not give his speech unless you pushed the button.  I love his creativity!!!!

Silent Film

I saw my first and last silent film.  It was called THE ARTIST and it will probably be up for an Oscar so we went ahead and saw it before the nominations.  I really could of gone all my life without seeing it but since it is a requirement to see all the Oscar nominated movies to go to the Oscar party (which is at my house) I suffered through it!

Sometimes I just hate Oscar nominated movies but the party is sure fun!!

TIRED!!

This is what we did ALL day while looking our best!! HA, HA!

Painting is done!  I am so tired so I made easy chicken, mushroom, gruyere quesadillas for dinner.

Now it is time to clean up and then it is going to be another movie and popcorn night. Yuck tomorrow is Monday!

Relaxing and Not So Relaxing

The morning started off with Michael fixing me some breakfast and then redeeming my gift certificate for a massage that Michael bought me for Christmas.

I went to Balance Mind Body Center for my relaxing massage.

Then the rest of the afternoon we have been doing some home improvement projects.  Cass and Dylan have been shipped out of their rooms so we can fix them up.

They will be getting new carpet!!  They will also be getting new paint and cool stuff for their walls.

Apparently I sat in something while cleaning the walls and baseboards.

This is where Cass is sleeping while her room is off limits.

Dylan is sleeping in the workout room right by the treadmill.

At least Michael had time to grill honey lime chicken tonight and it was delicious.

Now it is time for some relaxation with a movie and popcorn.

Winter Break is Over

This is what Cass and Dylan think about winter break being over.  I am not happy either!!!  How does two weeks go by so fast??  

At least we fed them well for their last meal before school starts back up.  We had O'Brien potatoes and grilled balsamic garlic crusted pork tenderloin.

Back to reality tomorrow!!!

A Nice Start to 2012

This morning I got up early even though I did not get much sleep and made breakfast. (the children finally went to bed around 4:30am and they were up at 8:00am)

I made cheesy bacon biscuits, orange knots and scrambled eggs.

Then we spent the afternoon having Christmas with the Arnott side of the family.

Tonight we are going to enjoy a nice fire and a movie!
