Co-Parenting

Since Michael and Ricky are not home, Ann volunteered to co-parent with me.  We decided to take the kids out for pizza.  We went to Chiusano's Brick Oven Pizzeria.

The garlic knots were delicious!

Dylan did not want to try them but we talked him into it and now he is a big fan of garlic knots.

The pizza crust and sauce were really good!

I forgot to post that Cass made mini cinnamon rolls  the other morning and we loved them.

I also baked two things that I really enjoyed.  I made oatmeal chocolate chip cupcakes with a cinnamon sugared chip frosting(yummy) and pretzel crusted peanut butter cup blondie pie(scrumptious).

Cooking With Cass

Cass and I have been doing a lot of cooking together and today she said, "I love cooking with you". I ran outside and told Michael to come take a picture of this moment because I want to remember this day forever.

Dylan sneaking a baked cinnamon bun donut.  He loved them!

Here are some of the recipes that Cass and I have enjoyed!  Hope you enjoy them also.

Celebrating the Fourth of July

We started off the day by meeting Ann S. at Cinemark to see The Amazing Spiderman and I loved it.  Then we came home and made homemade ice cream.  YUMMY

Enjoying the heat (not really)

The pooping dog firework!

Ann came over and spent the evening with us.  Michael smoked ribs, Cass made guacamole and crab stuffed jalapenos and I made some bean dip.  Ann made her delicious brownies to go with the homemade vanilla ice cream.  Ann and I also enjoyed a bourbon shady porch cocktail.

Big ol' sparkler

Ann and I even had some fun with sparklers.

GO CASS!!!

Spinning the sparklers as fast as he can

Dylan your favorite holiday is over (thank goodness)!

One Hot Sunday

This morning Michael was trying to remove this tree stump and the tree roots and he was having trouble.

Then he decided to use the Tahoe to remove it and it worked without hurting my vehicle.

Dylan preparing himself for playing two basketball games in a gym with no air conditioning.  I can not imagine how he felt because I was about to have a heat stroke.

GABL Elite won second in the tournament.  They were behind by 11 with three minutes left and Dylan made three 3-point shots and they lost by two.  Good job Elite!!!!

Then I came home and made brownie batter bark for work because I was not turning on the oven .

Yay, we have a four day week!!!

Bachelorette Party

My friend Katie will be getting married soon so she came back to Kansas City to have a bachelorette party.  We all met at the Brio on the Plaza. Here are some pictures that are acceptable for my family blog.

One minute into our evening Ann stepped on her shoe wrong and broke it.  Thank goodness the nice waiter brought her some blue tape to fix her shoe.  Some of you might not think this is funny but I was hysterical.
