Happy Easter

We started off the day by going to Saints for their Easter Brunch.

Then when we got home we let Mason out first to find his Easter surprises. He found his new toy bunny and treats.

He really liked his bunny toy.

Then it was Cass and Dylan's turn to have an egg hunt.  I wasn't going to have one this year but they wanted one.

Cass and Dylan were both very excited to get new shoes that they have been wanting.  Dylan has been wanting Nike Kobe 8 basketball shoes for months so he was shocked that he finally got them.  Cass got a pair of blue Vans shoes.

Mason even took a nap with his new bunny!

This afternoon I made homemade cookie dough oreo cookies.  Apparently by her expression she loved them.

We also have these new Oreo cookies but I like my Oreo cookies better.  They taste exactly like fruit punch.

Dylan was bored so he made a one hole miniature golf course in the basement.

Dylan even got a hole in one. (I did not)

I also wanted to blog about a donut shop we went to yesterday in Wichita.  It is called the DONUT WHOLE.

They had all cake donuts with lots of different toppings.  They use locally source ingredients including Kansas buttermilk. The sea salt caramel was outstanding. SOOOO GOOD!!

The grill has steaks and cabbage with bacon and garlic right now.  The bbq baked beans are done and of course the cookies have already been sampled.  After dinner is family movie night with GRUDGE MATCH.  Also, there is a pineapple coconut martini in my near future:)

Happy Easter!!

He wanted me to put him on YouTube!

Game NIght in the Garage

We had game night last night in the garage because it was a little windy out on the deck.  We ate a yummy dinner first....pork butt, cheesy potatoes, spinach dip and mini pecan praline bundt cakes.  We also drank bahama mamas and a drink called Big Blue Sky.

Pecan praline bundt cakes with sugared pecans on top

The card game we played is called Cards Against Humanity...a party game for horrible people.  WOW! It is hilarious and obscene and just plain horrible but we loved it.  We had lots of laughs with this game.

Me, Katie and Sheila

Griffin was helping his daddy play.

Mason decided to sleep in the bouncy seat while Griffin was playing cards.

Griffin had a great time with Pete.

What a fun game night!

It was not fun getting up at 6:45am to go to an 8:00am and 9:00am game but I survived!  One more game at 8:00pm today!.

Family Movie Night

We had our first garage sale today. I was at work (thank goodness) and Michael was in charge of the sale.  We had accumulated a lot of stuff over the years.  Since we made a little cash today Michael took us to the movies.

We paid for the tickets, popcorn and pop all with one dollar bills.  We saw CAPTAIN AMERICA and it was good.

I am so happy tomorrow is Friday because it has not been the best week at all!!!!!!!

Super Fun Sunday

We had a fun Sunday!! To start our day off, I made cinnamon chip oatmeal cookie pancakes with buttermilk icing.

Then we went to Union Station to the extreme screen to see "Tornado Alley".  It is a 3d documentary that Bill Paxton narrates and it was really good.

Cass had never been to the extreme screen before so she really enjoyed it.

Dylan also had a basketball game and his team lost by one point.  Grandpa, Marge and Cass came to watch the game.

After the exciting game we all went to dinner at Los Tres Compradaes and ate delicious food and drank yummy margaritas.  (Cass and Dylan had pop)  I am definitely not ready for the weekend to be over.

My Day Off

I had the day off today and it was quite relaxing. Yep, this is a massage table at the Last Tangle.  I love massages but I do not get them very often.  It was wonderful!

Then Michael and I had a lunch date at Dos Reales.

When Cass came home from school we tried to put her temporary crown back on.

Unfortunately it lasted four hours and then she swallowed it.  YUCK!

And that was my day off!!!

New Front Door

Yes, another home improvement project!

Goodbye old doors

Michael saved us $800 by staining the door himself and installing it. YAY!!

Old double door from the inside

Yucky door from the outside

I love the windows!  It is nice and bright in the hallway now.

NO more projects even though the kids bathroom had tile fall off in the shower. It is covered up with plastic and duct tape so that should last a while:)
