Frozen Yogurt For Dinner

No cooking here... FROZEN YOGURT FOR DINNER!! (you guessed it, Michael is not home)

It was our first trip to Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt and it was actually pretty good.  (I am usually not a fan of frozen yogurt)

Mason was not thrilled that he had to stay home all alone!

I think we will now have popcorn during the Chiefs game.

Boys Will Be Boys

What is going on??  Why is there a whole roll of toilet paper on the ceiling fan and all over poor Mason? The boys have lost their minds!

My poor baby!

This means there are 143 days to the Royals opening day!

What a crazy night!

Dylan the Trailridge Wildcat Mascot

Dylan is the Trailridge Wildcat mascot for the middle school girls basketball team. He definitely has the personality for it.

He even made a homemade "W" to walk up and down the court with when they win.

He is loving every minute of it!!

A Terrific Tuesday

The kids didn't have school so I took the day off and it was a GREAT day off.  I woke up around 7:40am and stayed in bed with the Today Show on with 20 minutes till I try to get free 9/11 Museum/Memorial tickets.  They only give away free tickets on Tuesdays for 5:00, 5:30 and 6:00pm  entries. Right at 8am I tried and the 5:00pm slot was already sold out but at 8:02 I was able to get 4 tickets for the 5:30.  GEESH!  It did make me excited about our family vacation to New York City. I can't wait!!

This is what we saw on the deck this morning.

I love having a 14 year old son!  He made us a nice fire today to enjoy on this 32 degree day. He almost lost his eyebrows while lighting it but he managed to escape without injury.

Mason slept on my feet in his little red sweater most of the morning.

Drinking a Starbucks and enjoying the fire made this day off wonderful.  Plus we watched two or maybe three Hallmark Christmas movies.

Lazy dog!!  I think he was glad we were home.

Dylan helped with the homemade vegetable beef soup.

It was the perfect dinner on a cold day.

What a great day!  Now off to Dylan's basketball game.

Holiday Boutique

I met up with Sheila and Katie Barrett to do a little shopping at the Holiday Boutique.  Poinsettia cocktails and holiday shopping went together nicely!

Maybe we should buy a Royals Christmas tree this year?!?!

Thanks Sheila for getting me out of the house today:)

Congratulations and Good Luck

Today was Michael's last day with Unique Machine and Tool and tomorrow he starts a new job with TigerStop. He is so excited about his new adventure and has always loved this company. We are so proud of him for all of his hard work to get this position at TigerStop.

Tonight we celebrated at Hikari Japanese Steak House.

The four of us enjoyed a delicious dinner.

Cass almost caught a piece of shrimp.

Then Michael wanted to go teach Cass how to play shuffleboard at Johnny's Tavern.

Dylan and I kicked their butts!!!

Good luck Michael!  We are very proud of you and you are going to do a great job!

Happy 14th Birthday

WOW! Dylan turned 14 today.  We got him a new sign for his man cave and he loved it.  He also got a gift certificate to MLB.com to buy some Royals stuff, a Wal-Mart gift card, a Smoothie King gift card and some cash.

What's a party without junk food???

Dylan and some friends (and Michael) went to Sadlers Indoor Racing. They had lots of fun and Michael beat them all!

Happy Birthday Dylan!!
