Movie Time at the Leawood Theater

Kasey, Sheila and I ventured out in cold to the Leawood Theater to see "Birdman".  It was my first time in this theater and when I walked in I thought I was going to have to sit in a wooden chair.

It took three attempts for this picture and I was still laughing in this one.

There was lots of laughing going on so thank you Sheila and Kasey for a fun night and a crazy movie.

My New Pantry

This is what people would see first thing when they walked through the door from the garage. That is a lie because crap was usually everywhere and not organized. It was horrible.  Who wants to see that?!?!

Michael ripped it out a few days ago.

This was my pantry/dining room for a few days.

Now I have cabinets and you can't see all of the crap I have!

It is organized for now!

I love that there are shelves on the door.

One cabinet holds the food and the other holds all of my containers.

I think I will like this much better.

A Good End to a Monday

It is always hard to go back to work after being off for two weeks. This time I had a package waiting for me at home.

My father-in-law gives me money for Christmas and this year I bought a bakeware set from QVC.

Even the inside is pretty!!

I can't wait to use my new stuff!!

Last Day of Winter Break

I HATE the last day of winter break but it didn't start off bad because Michael made me a sausage egg and cheese sandwich breakfast. My sandwich and a Starbucks made a good start to the day.

This is what I am going to miss a lot!!  Sometimes he does not even want me to look at my iPad.

I forgot to show off my new wine caps.  Michael got these for me for Christmas and I love what they say.

I did not want to go upstairs to put the clean sheets on the bed so I bribed Dylan with some cash. ($5) I am going to start making him do this because it was like a hotel room.  I love the towel with the microwave popcorn by it.

For dinner I made glazed meatloaf, cream cheese potatoes and green beans and churro chex mix for dessert. Now I am going to try to enjoy the last hour and a half with a Jack Frost martini. (or two)

Not ready for the alarm to go off at 4:45am. BOOOO

Cass Got a Promotion at Sky Zone

We celebrated with homemade bacon cheeseburgers tonight. (yes, there is even a recipe link)

Movie Day with the Kids

For breakfast I made homemade pancakes (a version of Alton Brown's pancake recipe) and homemade peanut butter maple syrup. YUMMY!

Then off to the movies.  We saw "Night at the Museum" and I have enjoyed all three of them.

Thumbs up for us!!

I just finished making 15 minute skillet lasagna (mine took 20) and now I am ready to enjoy the last weekend of winter break. BOOO!!!

First Day of 2015

The boys worked very hard today taking down all of the Christmas lights.

Our yard looks very bare.

Tonight we had family game night but Mason wanted us to play with him.

He apparently got tired of waiting on us and he fell asleep by my feet.

We all enjoy playing Yatzee even though Dylan has NEVER gotten Yatzee before.
