Bowling with our Boys

We had a blast bowling with our boys!! Of course the moms kicked butt and now we have won at Top Golf, bocce ball and bowling. They want to go to a movie next month. HA!!

We had dinner at Bar West Neighborhood Bar and Grill.  On the way home Lorie's son Dylan accidentally sprayed hand sanitizer in her eye and Lorie drove home with one eye. Never a dull moment with high school boys!!

Can't wait for a movie night.

Pedal Hopper Fun

We had a lot of fun today riding(pedaling) the pedal hopper and celebrating Julie's birthday.  We pedaled to the Kansas City Bier Company, Charlie Hoopers and The District Pour House & Kitchen

Yes, we actually pedaled!

Jake wasn't taking any chances...safety comes first and Angie supported him in his decision.

This is what the pedal hopper looks like.

Birthday fun!

Happy Birthday Julie!

The New Shed

I am so proud of Michael that he can build things without having to hire someone to do it or buying a pre-made kit.

The backyard was a mess for awhile.

Dylan did a great job helping and he actually learned some things.

This was Dylan's favorite part!

The new shed looks great!

Can't wait to see what his next project will be!

Sushi, Gelato and the Exotic Fish Store

Sushi at RA Sushi, gelato at Paciugo and a trip to Picasso Exotic Aquatics to see all of the beautiful fish was our mother/daughter night.

Mediterranean sea salt caramel gelato is the best!!!!!  We sampled the rose gelato and it tasted like rose soap. DISGUSTING!

A great way to end a busy Tuesday.

BBQ with some Old Friends

It is so much fun to get together with long time friends. It was a beautiful night for a BBQ.

Mason was freezing so Mitchell was warming him up.

Griffin had lots of fun playing basketball and jumping on the trampoline.

Me and Katie

Alysha and Adam were late to the group picture but I am so glad they made it.

Another fun BBQ with some very dear friends!!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day started off with a 9am basketball game and they won.  Then my family took me to Brewbakers for brunch.

Then the rest of the afternoon I enjoyed the light rain and thunder and I watched "Twister". I had a nice and relaxing day!

Thanks for all my new shower gels, wallflowers fragrance refills and Royals license plate frame.

Happy Mother's Day to my Mom and Sister!!

A Quick Trip to Wichita

We had a very nice trip to Wichita. We picked up our nephew Colton from WSU and took him out to lunch at Twin Peaks

Then we had an emotional visit at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where Cass lived for 10 1/2 weeks. They gave us a tour and Cass was able to see preemies that weighed what she weighed and some that were 1lb  7oz.  It brought back so many memories of what we experienced and it helped Cass understand what we all went through. Some parents got to meet Cass and show them miracles do happen. Our 1lb 12oz miracle is doing great!!

We had a great visit with Uncle Robert and Aunt Janice and we all got to meet Harley. Mason and Harley ended up doing great together.

Uncle Robert and Aunt Janice took us to a restaurant called Stearman Field Bar and Grill. The inside is an aviators dream and I was so excited that they had a Pittsburg State plane.

Several little airlplanes hanging from the ceiling

They had the biggest chicken fried steak ever!!

We all had a delicious dinner especially since four of us got the chicken fried steak.

The restaurant had a area where you could watch the planes take off or land.

We are also excited that Uncle Robert and Aunt Janice have decided to join us on our family vacation as we cruise to Alaska this summer.
