Oscar Party

Last night was my second annual Oscar Party and it was so much fun. Last year we dressed in formal wear and this year we wore pajamas. Also last year we only had to see 5 movies and this year they nominated 10. It was a challenge to see all 10 but I did it!!! I was having so much fun that I forgot to take pictures of us but I have a few food pictures.

I made sugar cookies but I am not very good at decorating!

I also made "Upcakes" for the movie "UP"!

Then I made an Oscar for everyone! (They are made out of a sugar cookie and a ding dong.)

Here is our buffet of food! We had spinach dip, cheese dip, chicken strips, meatballs, chicken puffs, shrimp, pigs in a blanket, British potatoes, roasted red pepper puffs, cupcakes, brownies, sugar cookies and Avatar punch. (yes, it was blue)

I do not understand why "The Hurt Locker" won best picture but I still had a great time!

Birthday Party

Wow! We are going to be parents of a teenager in two days! Last night Cass celebrated her birthday with 4 friends, pizza, a movie and a sleepover.

The girls got to the house around 6pm and we had pizza and bread sticks.

After dinner Cass wanted to open her presents and she got gift cards, earrings, Mad Hatter shirt, purse and fingernail polish.

The girls had to get pretty before going to the movies. We saw "Alice in Wonderland" in 3D. It was a really good movie but definitely not for young children.

We got home around 10pm and it was time for cookie cake.

This morning the girls got up around 8am and they had juice and cinnamon rolls and then this is what I saw after breakfast! What would they do without their cell phones???

Workout Buddies

Long Day

Yesterday I left the house at 5:20am and went to water aerobics and then worked from 7-5:30. At 5:30 I went to my friend Betty's baby shower. (we had it at work). Then off to the movie and I did not get home until 9:30pm. Cass and Dylan were asleep when I left in the morning and they were both asleep when I got home last night. That kinda sucked!

Several of us went in on a gift and we got her a jumperoo and an adorable outfit.

Off to the movies! I have officially seen all 10 nominated Oscar movies! YEA

Basketball Party

The Raptors had a pizza party tonight at Old Shawnee Pizza and Dylan received his first trophy ever! He was so proud!

Weekend Favorites

Here are my 3 favorite things from the weekend! (besides my parents coming for the weekend and Michael making it home safely from South Dakota)

Shocking that 2 out of the 3 is food! :)

Last Basketball Game

Tonight was Dylan's last basketball game and he was a little upset that daddy was out of town and was going to miss his last game. Cass and I knew a little secret about some special quests for the game! Grandma and Grandpa drove 4 hours to come see him play and Grandpa A drove back from his vacation and didn't even stop at home before the game. Dylan was very excited and was so surprised!

Dylan was the captain for the last game!

Good defense!!
Yea!! The Raptors won 28-10
