Kansas City Zoo
I say that a 75 degree day was the perfect day to go to the zoo.
Polar Bear
Enjoying the little train ride!
Michael amazed by the elephants :)
A nice ride on the Africian Sky Safari
Cass LOVES giraffes!!
Don't wake up the lion, Cass!
Of course the Gorilla is my favorite animal!
A nice day together!!
Cass and I are enjoying some more outside time with some refreshing June Bug drinks.
Michael just brought in the smoked turkey so I need to go get the mashed potatoes ready. Here are some more yummy recipes that I have tried within the last three weeks. Honey sriracha chicken, crockpot buffalo chicken sliders, loaded nacho meatballs, cheesy chicken and cilantro pesto flautas, , and today I made espresso caramel coconut dark chocolate cookies.

New License Plate
Today when I left work, I saw the back of my car and gasped. My friend Mitchell came over to see what was wrong. My wonderful husband took my car for two hours (I didn't even know it) and surprised me with a Pitt State license plate. Now I have a pretty KANSAS plate. I love it!! Thanks honey for the great surprise.

The Construction of a Roller Coaster
Dylan wanted me to buy popsicle sticks the other day and I just knew he would make something cool with them. He worked very hard in the basement constructing a roller coaster.
Tunnel on the roller coaster
He was proud of all of his hard work.
It was really long and the hot wheels cars would start at the top of the coaster and finish at the bottom.
What will his next project be???

Family Time
After an emotional few days and a quick trip to Oklahoma for a dear friends visitation, it was nice to have my parents and my kiddos at home.
Mom and I even enjoyed a Bailey's mint chocolate chip milkshake while we all had a movie night Saturday.
Today Dylan had three games in an extremely hot gym. Grandma and Grandpa stayed to watch the games.
Mom has always wanted to go to the Original Arthur Bryant's so Michael took us there for lunch.
After lunch we drove back to Independence for another game.
Tonight we are relaxing!! Michael grilled hamburgers while I was making sea salt and olive oil brownie cookies for work. I also made fudgey chocolate chunk brownies for the family.
Mom and I are getting ready to have a sunset passion colada and enjoy some more family time.
