Missouri Town 1855

Missouri Town 1855 is composed of more than 25 buildings dating from 1820 to 1860. This living history museum uses original structures, furnishings and equipment.  They were also having their fall festival so there were arts, crafts and music.

We had buffalo burgers for lunch.

I like looking at homes from the 1800's but I am glad I did not live in one.

Making cowboy ropes

"Watch out Dylan, there is a horse behind you!"

Hayride

This oxen weighs 3000 lbs. It was huge!

Dylan was actually listening to the man while he explained what oxen were used for in the 1800's.

We got to watch them make sorghum.  This is a sorghum field.... I do not like sorghum!

New recipes... Pumpkin spice cookie bars (recipe on the back of the bag)

The boys just left for the Royals game!! Go Royals!
