Sweet Sixteen Celebration

Cass decided this year that she wanted to spend the night in a hotel for her 16th birthday party.  I was able to get off work an hour early and go decorate the hotel room before I picked her and the girls up.

For party favors, I got each of the girls a gift card to KOHL'S and then took them shopping.

They all had fun shopping with their gift cards.

Sheila and I even enjoyed the hot tub.

Then today we continued the celebration and the Howerton family met us at the movies to see Oz the Great and Powerful.  

Now I am exhausted and ready for a nap.

Treasure the Little Things

I was trying to look up some stuff on my Ipad and my boys fell asleep. Someday Dylan will not fit in my chair with me so I want to treasure this moment!

I am sure these will not be on the market forever so I would like to treasure this moment also.  Never buying regular OREO cookies again!

Perfect End to a Two Day Work Week

I survived my two day work week!  Michael and I enjoyed happy hour at Johnny's Tavern and then we met our friends Betty and Tony for dinner.

We ate dinner at Guadalajara Cafe and it was very good!!

Then after dinner we went to another Johnny's Tavern to play shuffleboard!  I love shuffleboard and Michael and I won!!

Back to Reality Tomorrow

I have not stepped foot into work for 7 days so tomorrow might be a little rough.  

Cass and I made a easy and yummy afternoon snack.  We made baked mozzarella sticks.

Mason got stuck in the snow and I almost had to go out and get him.  The snow was caked on him.

My baby girl and her friend Lili are at the Maroon 5 concert.  Her first concert without us! (so sad)

Today I made chocolate cupcakes with mint chocolate chip frosting and jalapeno popper dip for my friend Vicki's birthday!  For dinner tonight we had rosemary pork sliders with horseradish aoli and kale chips.

I have to go get mentally prepared for tomorrow! I know I can survive two days of work.

Winter Wonderland

We had another snow storm but this time it was absolutely beautiful especially since I did not have to get out in it.

I enjoyed making oatmeal chocolate chip M&M cookies, homemade salsa and slow cooker tomatillo chicken tacos.  What should I do tomorrow since we have another snow day?? (oh, I have been off work for 7 days so Thursday is going to be rough)

Oscar Party

Happy Oscar Party!! This is one of my favorite parties. You have to see all best picture nominations before the Oscars or you can not come to the party.  VERY STRICT RULES!!  I like to see how many  of the movies I can see before they are even nominated.  We also make or bring food for each movie.  We had tons of food and I made lincoln logs (buttercream candy) and cookie cake pie.

I am so glad ARGO won!  I love the Oscars. (last year I hated them when The ARTIST won)
