Happy St. Patrick's Day

This morning Cass made us cinnamon sugar cream cheese dreams and we put green food coloring in the cream cheese for St. Patrick's Day.

Dylan and Michael made a homemade stove and Dylan cooked hot dogs on it for lunch.

It had a pretty big flame!

This afternoon we made a yummy and cold snack.  It was called lucky leprechaun lime drinks.

Later I will be enjoying a Leprechaun mojito.

Off to go pack for my training in Clearwater, Florida.  I am a little sad that I do not get to spend spring break with my children but staying at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort that actually sits on the beach might not be so bad.

A Beautiful Day Off

I had a wonderful day on my day off! Dylan started off his day by getting a filling and a tooth pulled so probably not the best day for him.

Michael and I took him to Winstead's for lunch so that made his day better.

Mason played outside most of the day and loved every minute of it.  Here he is enjoying some deck time.

When Cass got home from school we enjoyed sitting on the deck also.

Then Michael and I went to Missie's Liquor Store and sampled some Irish beverages.

Mason getting ready to watch the KU game.  Actually he wore his jersey for 2 1/2 minutes and then he walked right out of it.

Our friend Brad came over for Sarpino's Pizza and to watch the KU game.  We had a great visit and 

a great game to watch.

It was my first day off in a long long time that I didn't think about work.  It was awesome!!

Daylight Savings Time

Daylight savings kicked my butt this week. I have been tired all week. I had a nice enjoyable day with Michael a few days ago.  We had a nice Starbucks breakfast and then he took me to the Auto Show where I found four cars I would like to purchase. Sorry Honey!!  Then I took him to lunch at Dukes on Grand where they have good sliders. When we got home I made these chocolate chip espresso bars which were pretty darn good.

Michael purchased a new cabinet for our bathroom.  Now I can get all of my stuff off of the counter.

I was a little sad because I got rid of something my husband made me 18 years ago.  When I opened the gift, I had no idea what the heck it was.  Then he told me what it was for and I have loved it ever since.  He made me a holder for my contact stuff.

After 18 years it started to look like this.  Kinda of warped and nasty due to contact solution spilling in it.  

My sister spent the night with us Tuesday and we had fun but the visit was way too short.

Tomorrow I have the day off so hopefully I will get some sleep and be productive!

Sweet Sixteen Celebration

Cass decided this year that she wanted to spend the night in a hotel for her 16th birthday party.  I was able to get off work an hour early and go decorate the hotel room before I picked her and the girls up.

For party favors, I got each of the girls a gift card to KOHL'S and then took them shopping.

They all had fun shopping with their gift cards.

Sheila and I even enjoyed the hot tub.

Then today we continued the celebration and the Howerton family met us at the movies to see Oz the Great and Powerful.  

Now I am exhausted and ready for a nap.

Treasure the Little Things

I was trying to look up some stuff on my Ipad and my boys fell asleep. Someday Dylan will not fit in my chair with me so I want to treasure this moment!

I am sure these will not be on the market forever so I would like to treasure this moment also.  Never buying regular OREO cookies again!

Perfect End to a Two Day Work Week

I survived my two day work week!  Michael and I enjoyed happy hour at Johnny's Tavern and then we met our friends Betty and Tony for dinner.

We ate dinner at Guadalajara Cafe and it was very good!!

Then after dinner we went to another Johnny's Tavern to play shuffleboard!  I love shuffleboard and Michael and I won!!
