College Roommates

Karl and Michael were roommates at Pittsburg State for 3 years and there are stories that I do not even want to hear about. Karl and his wife Rhonda and their two children came over for dinner and we had some great food. We had sweet and sour pork tenderloin, brats pasta salad, corn on the cob, ciabatta bread, brownies, cookies and homemade ice cream.

Before I could take a serious picture they wanted to act like they were pregnant. If they act like this now I can only imagine what college was like. I can not believe they can actually stick out their stomachs that far.

I did not get a picture of the children because they had more important things to do than stop for a photo shoot.
We had a fun evening and we WILL be getting together more often.

Date Night

Dylan and I had a date night and Cass and Michael had a date night. Dylan and I went to the movies and saw "Despicable Me" and we LOVED it!

Dylan thought it was cool to be the only ones in the theater so he took a picture of me. Then a few minutes later another family walked in.

After eating popcorn for dinner we stopped at Russell Stover Candies for some ice cream.

Later Dylan decided to make his own grill out of cardboard and aluminum foil and a flashlight to heat his ham.

Michael took Cass to the Justin Bieber concert and she screamed the whole night.

Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band

Last night we had so much fun singing and dancing to Chubby Carrier at Knuckleheads. The first time we saw Chubby was in Amana, Iowa over Memorial Day weekend.

Pabst Blue Ribbon, WHY??? Cheap, Cheap, Cheap!!

I am actually sitting on Katie's lap!

Dancing the night away!

Katie playing her imaginary washboard

We have no idea who this man is but Katie wanted her picture taken with him.

Poor Brad! I made him get up and dance with me.

Wow! I was on stage dancing and before I realized what was going on, I was having the washboard played on me. It was a blast!!!

There is a song called "Who stole the hot sauce" and they walk around putting hot sauce in your mouth. This is me but someone put their hand in front of the camera and ruined the shot. My mouth was on fire!

At the end of the show, they gave Michael the hot sauce! He reminded me of a kid in a candy store. We got home after 1am and for someone who goes to bed at 9pm every night that was pretty late. I will be taking a little nap this afternoon. What a great Saturday night!!!

NO MORE POSTERS

I never thought this day would come! The Jonas Brothers posters were all removed after two years of being plastered on her bedroom walls. Yes, all 147 of them came down. I forgot that Cass had a yellow room.
