Happy Birthday Michael!

Happy 40something birthday!!  Michael enjoyed his favorite birthday dinner (homemade meatballs and twice baked potatoes) and his new crossfit shirt and Si-Cology 101 book (duck dynasty book).  Now waiting for trick-or-treaters and watching a movie.

Wrist Update

Good news....cast is off! Bad news....splint is on for four weeks!  At least he gets to take it off while he showers and sleeps and if he is sitting doing nothing (which that will never happen).

Yuck! His wrist is flat!

Free Movie Passes

This morning Dylan and I went to the premiere of "Free Birds" with the free movie passes I won.  It was a cute and I enjoyed having a movie date with my son and eating movie popcorn for breakfast.

Oh, I forgot to put the recipes on the blog last night for the things I made for the Pampered Chef party.  I made crockpot caramel apple cider, vanilla bean snickerdoodles and cookie dough pretzel bites.

Great Day Off!

My morning started off by getting a mammogram with my friend Sheila and we both got good news from the results.  YAY!

Then I came home and took Cass to go see "Gravity". (she had the day off also)

After the movie it was time to clean the house and make goodies for my Pampered Chef party.  What a fun night with friends!

Our friend Tom came up from Oklahoma and invited us to the Chiefs game. What an awesome game 17-16!

Holiday Mart

Sheila and I went to the Holiday Mart at Bartle Hall tonight. We had so much fun sampling all sorts of food, shopping and drinking a couple of "very merry cocktails".

Happy National Pasta Day

Today is National Pasta Day and Cass made spaghetti pie for dinner tonight and it was so good. Thanks for a delicious dinner Cass!!

Here are some new recipes that we have enjoyed the last couple of weeks:  garlicky steak with spicy ketchup, cinnabon cinnamon rolls, spicy pulled pork popper sandwich, cheesy spinach baked egg sandwiches and apple cider muffins.

Happy 19th Wedding Anniversary

WOW!! Where does the time go? I can't believe it has been 19 years since we got married.  We have made some absolutely spectacular memories during this journey and we have a lot more to encounter.  I love you with all my heart Michael and I should not of put these two pictures so close together:)

Tonight Michael surprised me and took me to Red Lobster and not because it is our favorite but because he took me there for our first anniversary.

Everyone at Red Lobster signed a nice little anniversary card for us.

New Roof

We finally got a new roof. We were one of the last houses to get rid of the wood shingles and it looks a lot better.

Michael rented a boom lift to paint the side of the house.  It was a little nasty looking.

I think he had some fun with this new toy this weekend and I can't believe he didn't use it to put some Christmas lights up!

Here is what I did today.  I made funfetti whoopie pies for our United Way bake sale tomorrow.

A lot of fun things are going on the next seven days so hopefully it will be a great week!

Shawnee Indian Mission Fall Festival

Pumpkin Spice Donuts!! We stopped for a little breakfast before going to the festival.

Dylan and Cass got to ride horses for the first time.

Last night Cass and I went to the movies.  We saw "Prisoners".  WOW!  What a movie!!  We were having fun taking pictures before we left!

New Cast

Dylan got a new cast! Now he can straighten his arm so hopefully he can sleep better.

I have never seen a cast with stripes.  Orange and black will match his football uniform so he will be quite stylish standing on the sideline.

Dylan gets another x-ray in three weeks and he might get his cast off and if he does then he will get a splint.

Julie's Memorial Dinner

Our dear friend Julie Dillard passed away a few months ago in a tragic accident. We decided to wait to get together when our friend Ann flew into town.  There were 13 of us tonight remembering how wonderful our friend was.  We love and miss you Julie Dillard.

Wedding Fun in Chanute, KS

Last night we had a lot of fun celebrating Mitchell and Nick and their love for each other.
