Halloween Light Display

Click here if you would like to see the Halloween lights
Looking forward to the Christmas display because there will be a lot more lights.

Happy Halloween 2010

Dylan was a Shawnee Mission Northwest Cougar Football Player and Cass was Justin Bieber.

Michael wanted to try out his Christmas display so he played the song "Ghostbusters" and the lights danced to the beat.

Michael and I are waiting for them to go bed so we can go through the candy! Cass said that was mean and told us she will never do that when she is a parent. Yea right!!!

Happy Birthday Honey!!!!!

Michael has spent his birthday getting ready for Halloween (finding scary music to play on the computer to go with his light display), watching an awesome Chiefs game and eating his favorite meal (my homemade BBQ meatballs and twice baked potatoes).

WE LOVE YOU!!!!

More Saturday Activities

After the boys went home from the sleepover Dylan took it easy until his 4pm football game.

We won!! Wow 3 in a row!!!

Cass was not feeling well so we took Dylan to Old Shawnee Town after the game and had some Halloween fun!

Dylan bobbing for an apple!

Dylan standing next to a Sonic cherry limeade!

You can not tell by this picture but there were thousands of people so we did not stay long.

Dylan's Birthday Party

We celebrated Dylan's birthday last night with a trip to Coco Key and a sleepover. Here they are on the way to the indoor water park. I was hoping that swimming would make them tired and they would go to bed early. That did not happen!

Relaxing in the hot tub!!

Cass and I really enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. It was around 55 degrees outside so it was awesome sitting in a hot tub.

After spending close to 3 hours swimming we came home and had cookie cake from the Nestle Toll House Cafe'.

Then Dylan opened his presents. He was really excited because he got a $20 gift card to Walmart, a new football, and a little bike to take apart and put back together.

The boys stayed up until 3am and this is at 9:15am right before I woke them up.

They had Krispy Kreme donuts and juice while they were still half asleep.

Then they played one last game of football before their parents picked them up. (even though they all have a 4pm game today)

Halloween Activities

This morning I went to Dylan's Halloween Parade at school. They do not have school Thursday and Friday so they had the parade and party today. He wanted to be a football player so he wore his uniform and I did not pay a cent for a costume. Yay for me!!!

He also wanted to be "Scream" so I thought it was funny that he walked right behind someone in that costume.

His buddy Jesse did the same thing for his costume also. Do you know which one is Dylan???

Now, I need to tell you that everyone wears their costume to school but has to wear their school clothes underneath it so I can not blame Michael this time for letting Dylan look like this all day at school. It was such a nice surprise when I went to his Halloween party to see him looking so good!!!!!!!!

This evening Cass and I made "Eyeballs". They were Oreo truffles that look like eyeballs.

What a busy day!

Last Camping Trip of the Season

We went to Branson this weekend for our last camping trip of the season. We got there around 7pm on Friday and spent the day at Silver Dollar City on Saturday. We left this morning around 10am and drove straight to Dylan's 3pm football game. Dylan thought it was pretty cool driving up pulling the trailer.

We always start our day with funnel cakes! (9:30am) It is a good healthy breakfast!

Then off to the roller coasters! Michael, Dylan and Grandpa love "Wildfire"! It goes upside down 5 times.

Dylan and Michael ready for take off on "Powder Keg"!

Dylan was so excited when I told him that I would ride "Fire in the Hole" with him. It is a little roller coaster that I can handle.

Michael, Cass and Dylan tried really hard to stop the ball but they were not strong enough.

A little afternoon snack!

We love the train ride and every year the train gets robbed!

By these lovely people!

I am sure glad we made it to Dylan's game because it was a true nail biter!

Yay! We won and here is my little #27!
Now back to reality tomorrow!

Spider Web Brownie

This afternoon we made a big spider web brownie.
Cass mixed up the batter!

Dylan frosted the brownie!

I hate spiders!

We actually do have spiders and the exterminator is coming tomorrow!

48-0

We Won! Yay!! We Finally Won!!! Actually, we creamed them! Dylan made a two point conversion and we were all very proud of him. (even his sister)

He had to call Grandpa and Grandma right when we got in the car!

Happy Anniversary

Michael and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary today. We enjoyed a nice evening at Brio on the Plaza and then Michael took me to Skies to watch the sunset. Happy Anniversary honey! I love you and thank you for 16 wonderful years.

OUCH!!!!

I had to have part of my toenail permanently removed yesterday because of a ingrown toenail. It took 3 shots in the toe and then the procedure took about 20 minutes. YUCK!!

The blood is where they gave one of the shots! I took this picture fast before the doctor or nurse walked back in.

Then I got to sit in my chair and elevate my foot all evening.

This morning I had to take the bandage off and soak it for 10 minutes and then put an ear drop antibiotic on it. Yes, I said ear drop! (I know my brother-in-law is laughing at me right now. Stop it Frankie!!!)

Then Cass called this afternoon and needed me to pick her up from school!
The Arnott girls are limping around the house and the Arnott boys are being sympathetic.

Shawnee Indian Mission

I took the day off today and went on a field trip with Dylan. We went to the Shawnee Indian Mission and we learned about Native Americans and we also learned about the trails and how people survived in the 1800's.

They were separated into families and they learned what they would need for their trip on the Oregon Trail. Dylan was a wagon puller.

Out of 6 families, Dylan's family was the biggest success!!! I had a lot of fun spending the day with Dylan. After the field trip is a whole different story. I will be blogging about that later.
