Snowy Saturday

It actually snowed today, which I haven't been able to say that very much this winter.

We all went out to lunch before Cass had to go to work.  We ate at a new pizza place called Arris' Pizza.

Mason with stitches and his cone.....

No cone and most of the stitches out.  He is a happy puppy.

Since it snowed today, Dylan and I made homemade frost bites (powdered sugar coated pretzel bites).

Thumbs up!! They were so good.

It was a nice snowy Saturday.

Sheila and Pete's Going Away Party

Tonight was Sheila and Pete's going away party. It is so hard to say goodbye to friends of 16 years but I wish them luck on their new adventure in Illinois. Pete leaves tomorrow but I still have Sheila for three more weeks.

I am working or have worked with all of these lovely people!!

Watch out! Partners in crime

We told Sheila she must keep up on her water intake tonight and she listened.

Dinner (delicious)

Not ready to say goodbye yet!!

Oscars 2015

Another year of good and bad movies and another year for a fun party!  I made sugar cookies, french pastries, chocolate cream cheese pecan pie, parmesan garlic cheese dip, Hawaiian ham sandwiches strawberry margarita slurpees and we also had lots of other goodies.

Having a great time!!

Poor Michael did not see all of the Oscar movies so he was not allowed to come to the party.  I needed more furniture in the family room so I had to grab some of the chairs from the living room so he had to sit in a lawn chair in the living room.

Quick Visit From Grandma and Grandpa

Dylan was excited that Grandma and Grandpa could come up and watch two of his basketball games.       We won't talk about how the games ended!

When we got home I got to try a new recipe and mom and I enjoyed a buttered toffee cocktail.  Delicious!!  Mom and Dad also got to try my chocolate chip cookie dough scotcheroos.

Mom and Dad are here for less than 24 hours but Dylan was happy they got to see some basketball.

Grandpa and Cass

Ready for the weekend!!

Dylan's Own Cheering Section

Dylan had his own little cheering section.  Luke and his mommy came to watch the JV game.

Grandpa and Marge stayed for both games.  JV and Varsity both won!!

Dylan looks ticked off in this picture.

Then he about ran over the referee.

SWOOSH!!!!

We actually have another game this week!! Can't wait till Thursday!

My Kind of Day Off

Mason cuddled with me all morning while I drank my Starbucks and watched Netflix.

And he cuddled with me some more this afternoon! My poor puppy!

I took Cass and Dylan out for dinner at Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers.  Then we stopped and rented a Redbox.  We are getting ready to get comfy again and watch "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day".

I did not feel like baking today but I did make cinnamon rice krispie treats with a cinnamon glaze and cinnamon strudel coffee creamer.  Happy Presidents' Day!

Not a Good Valentine's Day

Well, it started off pretty good. Cass and Dylan had their Valentine gifts waiting for them downstairs.

Chocolate and gift cards! How can you go wrong with that?!

Mason got some new treats.

Turducken Flavor! I thought it was funny so I had to buy them.

Then Michael took me to see Fifty Shades of Grey and they NEVER delivered us our popcorn.  Michael did get his money back after the movie.  Then we ate lunch at Wasabi Sushi and the service was HORRIBLE and they brought us the wrong sushi twice.

The worst part of the day was when Mason got bit by another dog and had to go to the pet hospital and have stitches.

Poor Mason

It was disgusting!!

Then after the not so lovely day I did get to sit and enjoy some Fifty Shades of Grey wine with my drugged up dog.

3-Point Buzzer Beater For The Win

Behind by one point and Dylan shot a 3-pointer with exactly one second left on the clock and SWOOSH he made it. His whole team and coaches stormed onto the court and jumped on top of him.   It was even more awesome that it was the first home game and all of his friends were there.

I actually had to take tums after that game!!  After the game Dylan said "I love my life".

It's Looking Like Christmas Around Here

Michael is already working hard on some new features for the Christmas light display.  Look at these huge candy canes.

Michael is holding the little candy cane he has used the past few years but this year he made gigantic candy canes.  I can't wait to see them all lit up!

He had to make a new controller box for a new addition to the light show.

Ok I had to sneak in my four new recipes so here you go....vanilla bean coffee creamer, coconut cream cheese sheet cake w/cream cheese frosting, parmesan corn and now I am enjoying a homemade hawaiian wine cooler.

Mason's First Starbucks and New Recipes

Mason went with me to Starbucks and they gave him a "pup cup" which is just whipped cream. Please notice the car was in PARK.

He loved it!

Michael put more on his face and he was working hard trying to get it off.  Two hours later he threw up.  No more Starbucks for Mason.

I made tator tot breakfast casserole when I got home and it was pretty good.

Mason and I enjoyed sitting on the deck for awhile this afternoon.  It was gorgeous out!!

I also made oreo fudge cappuccino ice cream for the first time. Dylan's friends ate most of it.

Now it is movie night!
