Mother/Son Night at the Movies and Jake's Place

Well, mother/son night was a little different tonight. Dylan Brunner broke his collarbone last night so we did not do anything competitive for their sake. We went to a movie and then out to dinner and Jake's Place Bar and Grill.

Dylan and Dylan

Dylan tried to help feed Dylan his hot wings.

Brunner thought the chicken wings were hot so the waitress finally brought him a pitcher of water.

Our outings are always filled with laughter. Lorie and I love our time with our boys.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Michael. I am so glad our children have you to teach them it is ok to step out of their box and try new things. Thank you for taking them (and me) on adventures they will never forget. WE LOVE YOU!!

After watching Dylan's basketball game, Michael's dad came over for a father's day dinner. We had grilled hamburgers, potato salad, pasta salad, crockpot corn and the cob, cookie dough ice cream sandwiches and margarita sangria.

Mother/Daughter Night

Tonight we went to Gordon Biersch for dinner and it was outstanding!  Kylie enjoyed sitting by the kitchen so she could watch them cook our dinner.

Definitely going back there again!!

I had breaded chicken on garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. YUMMY

Then we went out for ice cream at Glace Artisan Ice Cream which was a perfect ending to a very HOT day.

An Amazing Training

Today I had the opportunity to go to a training by a wonderful woman that I haven't seen in probably 20 years.  Beth hasn't changed a bit! She is still a fun loving person that still likes to have fun.  Thanks Beth for the amazing training on Superhero Play with Preschoolers. You are an AWESOME trainer.

Dinner with my Family

Mom, Dad, Sister and Keeley are in town until tomorrow and they took Dylan and I out to dinner at the Stagecoach Tavern.

Keeley wanted to play the jukebox and I asked what jukebox! Sure doesn't look like the ones I used.

Enjoying some time with my niece!!

Blueberry Picking with Sheila

Sheila and Pete are in town for a wedding so they stopped by for a little visit. I made ice cream cinnamon rolls and bacon/egg/cheese crescent roll ring and french press coffee for breakfast.

Leo and Mason enjoyed some quality time together.

Then Sheila and I went to explore "The Berry Patch" and picked blueberries for the very first time.

Lots and lots of blueberries

We had to do a little taste testing also.

It was a little hot but we had so much fun and Sheila said it was a perfect summer day.

After picking our blueberries, we enjoyed some homemade blueberry lemonade and a blueberry muffin.

I wish Sheila was here now to enjoy my blueberry mojitos.

What a fabulous day!!

First Cruise in the Jeep

After selling his jeep 15 years ago Michael finally purchased another one and tonight we were able to take a family cruise in it.
We had lots of fun and the boys are so happy that we have a jeep.

Thank goodness it has air conditioning :)

Jeep hair

Loving every minute of it!!

We cruised around Shawnee Mission Lake.

Michael, I think that is a walking trail not a jeep trail.

We also stopped at the FOOD TRUCK FRENZY where they had 19 food trucks parked. Yep, that was dinner.

Then we made Cass get into the jeep without opening the door.

I can't believe she did not fall!

We ended our fantastic Friday night by getting dessert at Christy's Tasty Queen. Fun, Fun, Fun!!

Victoria, Canada

Last full day on the ship and they had a hog roast.

We got to Canada in the evening and we took a horse drawn carriage ride through Victoria.

Parliament building

This dang peacock decided to turn around and show of his back side.

Olympic Mountains

Two hours in Victoria, Canada was enough time for us!

We had a very memorable vacation and I am so glad that we were able to see and experience Alaska.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Good morning Ketchikan!

It was 51 degrees, high winds and raining so our zodiac expedition tour was cancelled.  Of course that did not stop us from walking around Ketchikan in our rain ponchos.

The totem poles were really cool.

The old red light district and the most popular picture of Ketchikan.

Ketchikan, Alaska...The salmon capitol of the world.

Back on the ship and guess what Dylan ran off to do. Dylan could not go a week without playing some basketball.

We also had some visitors by our balcony.

Tomorrow the last stop....Victoria, Canada
