Last Weekend of Spring Break

I took Dylan to the gym on Friday so he could get some practice time in before Grandma and Grandpa arrived.

Grandma and Grandpa took us to Char House BBQ and Fried Chicken for dinner Friday evening before the KU game.

Saturday night was our date night with our friends Ann and Ricky and the plan was to go to Ari's Greek Restaurant. When we pulled up to the restaurant this is what we saw in the window.

We ended up going to Jumpin Catfish because Ann and Ricky had never been there. Jumpin Catfish has really good food but you feel like you are walking into a taxidermy shop when you walk in. Here is Ann and I posing with our friends next to our table. (it looks like I am getting kicked in the head)

When we got home from dinner Dylan was complaining that he was not feeling well so I took his temperature and it was 103.2.

Cuddling with my sick boy before he was diagnosed with strep.

Today we had a family vote on the new Cheez-it crackers. Cass and I liked the Asiago and Michael liked the Colby.

Dylan thought they were all disgusting.
Can we have another spring break please?????

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

This morning I made Dylan and Michael green eggs (Cass refuses to eat eggs).

Thanks to my friend Ann S. for helping Dylan get all decked out for St. Patrick's Day.

I made Green Tomatillo Chicken with rice for dinner.

Then we made yummy green limeades!!!

YAY!! Our March Madness 2011 NCAA brackets are up! Wonder who will win??

Trip to Oklahoma

We all went to Norman, Oklahoma to visit my sister and her family. We had a great time but Cass did get the flu and did not get to enjoy some of the fun activities.

Keeley (my 4 year old niece) was kicking my butt playing Pac-Man on the iPad

The children riding scooters in the house

We brought Keeley her birthday present and she was excited because they were colored bubbles and a bubble blaster but they were a total mess!!! NEVER buy colored bubbles!!

My sister introduced me to the best donuts in the world!!!

I LOVED the mini cinnamon rolls!!!!!

My sister and I went out to lunch without the children and we shared this yummy appetizer platter at BJ's Brewhouse.

Do you think Keeley missed her nap????

We went to Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History and we had so much fun.

Digging for fossils

My sister also introduced me to cupcakes from Crimson and Whipped Cream.

We also went shopping and we took the kids to go see RANGO. It was a really cute movie. I am so sad that I did not get one picture of my sister and I together.( I am sure my mom is not happy either) I had a wonderful time and I wish I could see my sister more often. Thanks sister for a great couple of days!!

Kansas City Premiere Basketball

Dylan is on a new basketball team called KANSAS CITY PREMIERE. They only had four practices and then they played in a tournament.

Michael was the official score keeper for the games.

They actually played fifth grade teams so getting runner-up was not so bad for a fourth grade team. Good job!!

Happy Birthday Cass!!!

Cass Marie turned 14 today!! Cass had her birthday dinner at BRGR and it was delicious.

Cass got 14 different pair of crazy socks including KU socks from her brother.

She also got TOMS shoes, KU sweatshirt, itunes gift card and Katy Perry concert tickets!! She was very excited about her gifts.

Since we had a cookie cake at her slumber party Cass wanted to make strawberry lemonade smoothies for her birthday dessert.

The tradition continues.....
Michael reads WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE at the end of every birthday. Do you think she will let her daddy read it to her when she is 21????

Happy Birthday! We love you!
