This year we met my parents and our friends Sheila and Pete in Taos, New Mexico for Thanksgiving. We were very lucky that we all made it there safely because New Mexico had winter storm warnings before we got to Taos. The roads were HORRIBLE for all of us.
New Mexico state line (Cass and Dylan's first time in New Mexico)
Darn tumbleweeds attacked us for miles and miles
Our beautiful house in the mountains. It looked small when we pulled up but it was like an adobe castle inside.

Michael grilled for us twice!
We really enjoyed the hot tub at night because the stars were amazing to look at.

Cooking dinner
Michael grilling hamburgers!
We made turkey ornaments and hung them all over the house.
Every morning this is what our coffee selection was. It was actually kind of fun:)
Enjoying a good cup of coffee in the mountains.
Shopping at Taos Plaza
Shopping with Sheila is always an experience. She actually bought a sink. Not kidding!!
Sheila and I at the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge.
Breathtaking!!!
Cass and Dylan were even amazed!
Having fun at the bridge!
Taos Cow ice cream was a delicious afternoon snack!
We only went out to dinner once and it was to Orlando's. It was voted best New Mexican cuisine and it was absolutely delicious! Sheila and I also enjoyed the sangria.
Then we came home and put on our comfy clothes, sat by the fire and enjoyed homemade hot buttered rum.
We played lots of card games and Dylan always seemed to beat Grandpa.
Dad and I at the Pueblo in front of the church.
The Pueblo was very interesting and we learned a lot on our tour. Some of the buildings are over 1000 years old.

This is the only water source on the pueblo and it was crystal clear.
The oven they cook in and let me tell you that the bread was scrumptious!
Then we left the pueblo and stopped by the San Francisco De Asis Church (built in the 1700's).
