Dylan had his first game tonight with his new team. They only have had two practices together so I am not going to mention the score of the game.

Michael and I tried a new recipe called grilled bacon wrapped sriracha onion rings.

My Monday treats are lemon sugar cookie bars with lemon cream cheese frosting and peppermint crunch cookie dough truffle bars. I have a stressful week at work this week so let's hope I survive. I am already for next weekend.

Adult Easter Egg Hunt

Today was the adult Easter egg hunt at Jowler Creek Winery.

It was a little chilly but we still had a good time.

Alysha found a mini keg and I found one lousy egg!

Next we had free wine tastings!!

Fun Saturday morning with Alysha and Adam.

Then we enjoyed a yummy lunch at Hayes Hamburgers. It is a tiny diner that has been open since 1955 and has good hamburgers.

Friends for Life

Tonight my wonderful friend of 16 years came by for one last goodbye before she moves to Illinois. I will truly you miss you Sheila. Thanks for becoming my friend from the very first time we met. I am so glad we have made so many memories that I will cherish. Let's start planning on some new adventures!! I love you friend!

Mason will also miss his best friend Leo.

Last Day of Spring Break

I don't understand how spring break flies by so fast but it does. This morning we had one of my favorite breakfasts...Starbucks nonfat caramel macchiato and kolaches.

Michael and I took Mason to the dog park today and he loved it!

Although he was not too exited about the lake.

"Walk away from the big dog, he will eat me."

Ahhhh! Fresh air!

Kasey's birthday treat for tomorrow! Not posting the recipe yet! There is a special ingredient in this for her.

Back to reality tomorrow!

Maroon 5 Concert

After a delicious dinner at City Fish we headed to the Sprint Center to see Maroon 5.

We were all so excited to see Adam Levine.  He is HOT!!

He wore a Guns 'N' Roses shirt the whole night.

Breakfast at Katie's House

Sheila, Cass and I spent the morning drinking coffee and eating butter bundt coffee cake at Katie's house. We also played with Griffin and watched HGTV.

Danny decided to have a photo shoot with us. It was quite silly.

Mother/Daughter Movie Date

Kasey and I took our own little princesses to see Cinderella.  I was so excited that my 18 year old wanted to go see it.

Then for dinner, I tried two new recipes... crockpot pork roast and crispy baked asparagus fries.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

This morning Dylan and I went to Krispy Kreme Donuts to get shamrock donuts but there were already sold out by 8:30am. Chocolate iced with green sprinkles are better anyways.

Michael and I went out for lunch at Saints Pub and had corned beef and cabbage and fish and chips.

Mia came over for dinner tonight.

I made macho mayo meatloaf.  It was so delicious.  Macho Mayo is made in Overland Park, Ks and it is good on sandwiches, in dip and even meatloaf. Here are some other recipes I have enjoyed this spring break.  Jack Daniels Double Kick pork chops, chocolate chip muffins, cinnamon sugar old fashioned donut muffins, buttermilk pancakes and tequila mint limeade.

Now for cocktail hour....Irish Redhead! Happy St. Patrick's Day.

I Love Spring Break

I might not have had a mountain or beach view this morning but who cares, it was a Monday and I wasn't at work.

After my nail and then dentist appointment, Michael and I met up with Katie, Danny and Griffin for some appetizers and martinis at Ricco's.

Griffin enjoyed the appetizers also!!

I love Spring Break!!

Burg and Barrel

We met our friends Betty and Tony at Burg and Barrel and had delicious burgers and watched the Big 12 Championship game. Not the outcome we wanted!

A Great Start to Spring Break

After a fun day at work (we went bowling) some of my friends from work went to Lucky BrewGrille for a martini.  YUMMY!

Then my friend Sheila and Katie (and Griffin and Danny) came over for nachos with chili con queso dip and Hawaii tattoo martinis. 

This was a perfect way to start Spring Break!
