Homemade Skee Ball

Dylan had so much fun on Monday playing skee ball that he has been working all week on a homemade skee ball so we can play at home.

He used scraps of wood and cardboard and of course Christmas lights. (we only have a few hundred extra boxes of lights)

I did not make it in the 50 point hole.

NO, I did not win!

I love it when Dylan gets an idea in his head and follows through with it. 

An Afternoon of Skee Ball and Air Hockey

Today is my last day off so I took the kids to Power Play to play skee ball and air hockey.  Cass is actually pretty good but Dylan says it just luck.

We don't know who the winner was but we do know that it wasn't me.

National Hot Fudge Sundae Day

Well of course we had to celebrate National Hot Fudge Sundae Day!!

They did not complain at all about celebrating it.

Cass is done with summer school at JCCC so we celebrated with a cupcake at Kansas City Cupcake Co. and it was possibly the best cupcake I have had.

What a hard decision!!

The kids enjoyed them also.

Glass Fusing

Tonight Katie and I tried glass fusing. It was lots of fun and there were no injuries. Thank goodness for safety glasses because I was not real good at cutting the glass at first.

After a fun evening of glass fusing we had dinner at O'Neils.

Can't wait to see our finished projects in a few weeks!!

Cosmic Bowling and Laser Tag

This afternoon I took Cass and Dylan to go do cosmic bowling and laser tag.

I can't believe they wanted to hang out with me again today.

Then Dylan kicked out butts in laser tag. Cass and I kept shooting each other and we were on the same team.

Now off to Zumba class and then watch Sharknado 3 with the kids and eat shark fruit snacks. 

Tropical Sno

Yep, we drove 25 minutes to get a Tropical Sno because the children had never had one.  Dylan was mad that he didn't get a large because it was so good. It was well worth the drive.

Mason even got to go with us on our little road trip. Cass and I got pina colada and Dylan got blue raspberry and cherry. DELICIOUS!

Mason just had shaved ice and wasn't a huge fan of it.

Movie and Pizza Night

I had a movie and pizza night with the kids tonight to celebrate that I have the next 7 days off from work.

Dips and Daiquiris Party

It is National Daiquiri Day so some of my friends came over for a dips and daiquiris party.

 We had orange coconut daiquiris and cosmo dairquiris.  

The dips we enjoyed were buffalo dip, jalapeño popper dip, sausage/rotel/cream cheese dip and cookie dough dip.

Mason even had a friend come over and her name was Lucy.  They seriously look like brother and sister.

They couldn't have daiquiris or dips so they ate doggy peanut butter ice cream.

Dylan was a pain to Kelly just like every time Kelly comes over.

We enjoyed watching the Royals game while we were enjoying our treats.

That was a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon!!

Dinner at CHAR BAR Smoked Meats

We had a nice dinner with Betty and Tony tonight at CHAR BAR Smoked Meats to eat some bbq. 

I thought the huge mural inside the restaurant was kind of cool.

This pictures looks silly since we are not sitting next to our husbands.

Zumba Class

Tonight we took a Zumba class and I LOVED it. My friend Ann and I took one a few years ago but this was a modern version and this was so much better.

Road Trip with Alysha and Adam

Our first stop on our road trip was Amigoni Winery. It was a beautiful place but the wine was not good at all.

Then we really took a road trip (gravel roads and all) to Of the Earth Farm and Distillery. 

It was a little shack and he gave us a private tour of his distillery.  Thanks Adam for setting the tour up.

We even enjoyed some samples.

Then off to Belvoir Winery. They say it is haunted and it was even on an episode of Ghost Hunters.

There are several abandoned buildings on the property and here are some pictures of the buildings.
