Weekend Fun

I started the weekend off by going to the Wine and Art Event Friday night with some of my friends. My friend Julie was in town from Oklahoma and it was so much fun spending time with her. We tasted some delicious wines and mouth-watering appetizers. Then Michael picked me up at 8pm because Dylan had a basketball game at 9pm.

We will not talk about the outcome of the game but here are a couple of pictures.

Saturday we went to the 1950's All Electric House/Johnson County Museum.

We decided to try a new place for pizza Saturday night. It was called Johnny Brusco's New York Style Pizza.
They had something called Mini Garlic Knots and Cass took one bite and said "this is the best thing I have ever eaten". They were little dough knots smothered with butter and chunks of garlic and they melted in your mouth. The pizza was pretty good but nothing compared to the garlic knots.

We got home just in time to cheer for KU! Dylan made a sign for the game and what a game that was!!!!!

Today I made Beer Bread for the first time and it was so good and easy. All you do is mix 3 cups of self-rising flour, 3 tsp. sugar and 1 can of room temperature beer. Bake in a loaf pan that has been sprayed with Pam and bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes.

I can not believe tomorrow is February and two more sleeps until the Oscar Nominations. :)
