It was a fun day in Juneau. We took a helicopter ride and landed on Mendenhall Glacier to go dog sledding and it was awesome!!
We had to put glacier boots on before getting on the helicopter.
Here we go!!
The boys wanted a longer helicopter ride but I was fine with it not being longer.
Views from the helicopter
We landed right by the dog camp.
We made it to the glacier and it really was not that cold.
Getting the dogs ready for our ride.
We were able to hold husky puppies that were eight weeks old.
Standing on the glacier with our glacier boots.
An American flag on top of the glacier
I love the color of the water of the ponds. This picture was taken from the helicopter.
Happy dog sledding!!
After our dog sledding ride, we walked around Juneau and got a little snack. The crab legs was huge and delicious.
We decided we needed to actually eat dinner so we stopped at the Red Dog Saloon to get salmon dip, fish and chips and crab cakes.
Michael and I drank their famous drink called the "Duck Fart".
They say that Wyatt Earp checked his gun in at the U.S. Marshall's office in Juneau and never came back to get it.
Goodbye Juneau!
We had an elephant on our bed when we got back to the ship.
Tomorrow a train ride from Skagway, Alaska.
